I got into a discussion with a guy last night who was telling me how great he thinks blogging is, and how much it’s changed the Web. He was saying how, because of publishing solutions like Blogger, Moveable Type, and WordPress, anyone can easily publish their own site. I agreed. (blogs? back in my day, we called them websites, and we used Geocities dammit! These kids and their fandangled Myspace…)
What do these publishing services have to do with AdBrite? Blogger lets you publish to your own site — AdBrite lets you publish to someone else’s site. Want to publish your own stuff on Gawker.com? Go for it.
Shouldn’t every website use AdBrite? Of course! Sure I’m biased, but I’m serious. I can’t think of a reason why any independent publisher wouldn’t allow someone else to publish to his or her site, provided the price is right was right and the content is acceptable.
With over 100 publishers signing up everyday to use AdBrite, we’re getting there. But there are a few million more to go before anyone can publish anywhere. Spread the word! (speaking of which, we’re experimenting with a new affiliate program, so if you want credit for getting other sites on board, let me know)
Rock on.
